Sophie Wood Brinker is a California-based artist who concentrates on the themes of home, collective healing and magic. Her pieces are born from watercolors, cut paper, dreams, tiny moments, mistakes, spells, reverence for flowers and hope for a just world. She grew up in Santa Cruz where she learned to find inspiration from and marvel at the flora and fauna surrounding her. Sophie has spent time in Indiana, Scotland, Nevada City, Berkeley and Mendocino studying creativity, justice, gardening and folklore. She now lives, works and plays in Bolinas, with many visits to her lifelong Quaker home of Sierra Friends Center in Nevada City. You can find her work at sophiewoodbrinker.com.
